Buy a new home wired by a +5 associated Electrical Contractor - whose electricians belong to the International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), and your wiring is automatically protected for an extra five years beyond the builder's
one-year warranty.
The IBEW and the National Electrical Contractors Association
(NECA), working together through their Labor-Management Cooperation Committee (LMCC) make sure that your new home is electrically
safe for five extra years through their innovative +5 Homeowner's Electrical Protection Plan.
This program covers the original owners for work done by local electricians employed by +5 contractors on newly-built
homes, in the unlikely event that electrical problems should develop during the five additional years following the builder's
one-year warranty. The +5 Plan is provided at absolutely no additional expense to the homeowner or builder. There are no strings
attached!
The IBEW and NECA sponsor +5 because they have confidence in their
workmanship. Their qualified, professional electricians are well-trained and highly experienced in their trade. Simply put,
they are the best in the business!
If, for any reason, problems should develop
in the original wiring system during your first year of ownership, we correct the situation under the terms of the builder's
contract. Then, for a full five more years, our LMCC +5 Program extends the same protection independently. Just contact the
LMCC office and describe the trouble you are experiencing. We will have a +5 Electrical Contractor correct the difficulty
at no charge to you.
